Arouna & Biko's Story

Arouna Diarra and Biko Casini met in 2007 in Ghana...at the time not speaking the same language. It wasn't until 2011, when they met again in the Asheville music Scene that they started to play together.
In 2015 they had the opportunity to open a small tour with Rising Appalachia of whom Biko is a member. The Chemistry clicked and they since have done several national tours as a duo supporting Rising Appalachia including playing the famous Redrocks Amphitheater in Colorado.
Though living in different cities, Biko and Arouna get together whenever possible to build instruments and continue to hone their music as a duo. Their Passion is bringing the natural sounds of the Ngoni, Balafon, Djembe and Calabash to audiences around the world, utilizing the intrinsic power of traditional forms of music to inspire people to attune to nature.
